The city of New York serves as the backdrop for your superheroes' various adventures. Once you select one of the stories that the game provides, you'll put on a Marvel superhero suit and set off to defeat the threats filtering through the city. But you do it all based on learning new words and their significance.

When you find an alert in the city, Marvel Hero Tales immerses you into a screen similar to that of games where you identify objects. Here you have to pick verbs, adjectives, and names of actions that you're going to carry out. Once you've picked your action, you'll go on to a new screen with a timer where you'll pick the correct synonyms. If you fail, you've got to try again.

The further you make it in Marvel Hero Tales the more words you'll add to your 'vocabulary' within the game. These words lets you do new actions, so long as you pick the right synonym.
